Chinook Salmon

Let’s take a chance, and fight a monster!
Vancouver Island rivers have some of the biggest salmon in the world. We are committed to 100% catch and release, and we can target Chinook salmon from the first week of August until end September.
We fish the first pool of the river. Every single fish is fresh, full of energy, and ready to pull some line.
We fly fish #8, #9 and #10 rods equipped with a Peux reel and a sinking line. The leader is 16 to 20 lbs fluorocarbonate with a barbless, home-tied fly.
The average fish here is 15-25 lbs, but there are some 60 lbs ones as well!
This trip is based in Campbell River.

Trout and Steelhead

Take a drive from Tofino to a remote river where cutthroat and rainbow trout swim throughout the pristine coastal rivers of Clayoquot and Barkley Sound. These trips are 8-12 hours in length and provide a ton of fun on the 6wt fly rods. Most of these trips are fly fishing only, however some rivers allow for light spinning gear to be used. A healthy fitness level is required, as we will be bush whacking along the banks and through the forest to get to some of our secret honey holes.

Heli-fishing

Gear up, and go up - where very few go!
This trip is a full day, approximately 8-10 hours.

Remote and pristine - this is what we seek out. Animals like black bears and elk can frequently be seen along the river. There are a multitude of rivers and lakes to discover within a mere 25-minute flight from Tofino.
